Intermediate road routes

Have a little bit more time available in your day? Here are a few routes you might like. Really intermediate doesn't mean "more advanced" it means you have more time available!

Leavenworth classic

Mileage: 17 Miles

Points of Interest: This route is an oldie but goodie. The local bike shop rides this route at least twice a week. Start at Leavenworth City Hall. Follow the route out of town up, up, up junkyard hill. Enjoy a nice decent into the valley on 33 highway. Enjoy the farmlands and animals. Climb up government hill and you are rewarded with a nice view rounding the bend into the city.

Mileage: 22 Miles

Points of Interest: This route starts from Sportsfield and will take you out to the county very quickly. You will ride through several century farms, Kickapoo, and Lowemont. The biggest American flag in the county is on this route!

Roller coaster of love

Mileage: 14 Miles

Points of Interest: This route is the shortened version of the "County Shop" ride the local bike shop does. While the mileage seems tame this route features some of our beloved county hills which makes up for the mileage. Climb, climb, climb, coast, coast, coast!
